Heep/Naz

Note:
Due to the wonderful quality of these pictures, I have NOT reduced them in size. These are in the original 640x480 format as was sent to me. THANKS to Ulli Jung for these pics, and the commentary too !

Over the course of 4-5 days this week, Ulli was kind enough to send us these pictures of the Heep/Naz Gig in Braunschweig, Germany ...here's how it started !

Hi,

I just tried to send you a scan, but I'm afraid it didn't work. The pic was taken in Braunschweig/Germany on Thursday last week. If you need more scans of the concert let me know.

Well, it sure worked after THAT ! We have some fun e-mails, and it's great to be able to put these up !

Ulli Jung says:

These pics were taken during the interview we did with Bernie for our local radio station. Bernie was most accessable btw, I hadn't met anyone of the two bands before, but they were all nice.

As you will see on the pics I was allowed to go anywhere and do anything, I also took pics during the whole show of both bands, and whenever I had trouble with one of the dumb local sec. guys, Michael, the tour manager just said "Show me the guy who said that!" Then he would walk up to them and tell them "The chick's allowed to do anything here!" ;-) Very cool!

A digital camera is not the right thing to get *excellent* shots, but it's a good fun thing, and bands that I chase with the digi one are always quite amused about seeing their pic in the little display immediately, so I usually get some good fun shots with that one.

Bernie is really great to have around, he had all the time in the world for us! When we did the interview and some crew guy came up and suggested that he should better get his gear together and move his butt on stage he just said "Alright, but let's continue right here after the show!"

Yes, the crew guys were very nice too ;-)

Nazareth's Danny even gave me an interview after the show which must have been after midnight,
and though all the guys were suffering from flu or colds during the lousy weather we have over here.

As everyone said they get along well together, and that was also my impression.
They share dressing rooms and also party together in the German pubs after the shows they said.
The concert was great, the venue was sold out with 1.300 paying, so there might have been 1.500 in the venue I think. They also had a support band from Berlin that I didn't like that much. Sounded like doom metal or something. Then Heep followed, and Nazareth rocked the house after them.

Bye for now !

Ulli !
