Robin Richmond earned a B.S. degree in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences (Medical Computer Science) from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He then served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington, primarily working on a project involving the measurement and evaluation of human sensory-motor function. He spent six years with HealthPartners, Inc. in Minneapolis, working on patient profile applications for providers and on Informations Systems department standards and development tools. He moved to United HealthCare Corporation to direct a research project involving a wireless pen tablet provider workstation and its integration into a multi-organizational network. He then became Manager of Internet Development, responsible for Internet and Intranet applications. In 1996 he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where his wife took a new job. He is now the Webmaster for The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
