The Traveling Magpies are a two man band composed of Roy and Steve. Between the two of us, we play every instrument on our multi track album, from guitars and keyboards to maracas and beer bottles. The songs on the CD are a compilation of three earlier albums: Sharks and Pterodactyls, More Sharks and Pterodactyls Than You Can Shake a Stick At andSo What if They're Just Sharks & Pterodactyls?. We could not afford to make three CD's at that time, so we put all our best songs on one really long CD. A whole 21 songs long.

ALMOST FREE CD

If you like what you hear, you can get your own Magpie CD, almost free. All 21 songs. Yes you can down afew songs here but you will want the rest of the album. Five U.S. dollars is almost free. That's right, for only $8.00, you can get the CD. We are under new management which has undertaken the business aspects of the band. Try the Cd, you might like it. We used to give out the CD for free. In fact, we mailed out way too many CD for free. Since we had to reorder more CD's, we have to charge a nominal fee to help defray the costs.

COO-COO JUICE RECIPE

Coo-Coo Juice is the elixir that makes a party really take off. It sets you up for the perfect all-night-party-happy-go-lucky time. Invented by Karl Moskal back in 1989 it supposedly goes like this.

1 quart ice

1/2 bottle grain-alcohol (150 proof or higher)

1 quart fresh orange juice

5 to 8 tablespoons of sugar sweetened berry Kool Aid.

3 diced green apples

2 sliced and halved limes

one dash of grenadine

1 quart of seven up or club soda.

Put ice in a large glass container. Add grain alcohol. Grain alcohol is just the name of vodka when it is over 100 proof, so do not be afraid. Just don't drink it straight! Add the diced green apples and sliced limes. Stir and let sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Add orange juice and a little water. Add the Kool Aid to taste with club soda or Seven Up. I like Club soda since Seven Up may sweeten it too much. Let stand with ice for at least ten more minutes and serve in glasses with straws. Don't forget to eat the apples. Please do not coo-coo and drive.
