About Fredric Lissauer
Fredric Lissauer has long been an active member of the Cleveland
Composer’s Guild. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of
Music, his theory and composition instructors include Bernard Heiden,
Marcel Dick and Donald Erb. From early 1991 through 1996 he was given
casual, but important mentoring by Dennis Eberhard in composition and
manuscript preparation. Mr. Lissauer has won the Ohio Arts
Council Fellowship Award and received a premiere performance of his
String Quartet Op. 25 by the Cavani Quartet. He is presently
engaged in researching concert music of the late twentieth and early
twenty first century. In addition to composing contemporary
classical works, he has also written the book, music and lyrics
for several musical theatre pieces, as well as a volume of jazz
ballads.
