Marla's Devotion 2w

Perennial student Marla and her partner Joey have hit a bad patch. Feeling neglected and in need of personal growth, Marla begins an intense Buddhist meditation practice that soon has her half-living on her knees -- leading to comic uproar.

An off-beat comedy about relationships -- and the exquisite difficulty of making changes that actually change anything.

2w (20's-30's). One hour. A nearly bare stage, indicating Marla and Joey's apartment in a hectic city.

"Funny, heart-wrenching, acerbic, MARLA'S DEVOTION is the raw underbelly of lesbian life in the nineties. Read it, live it, lay prostrate before it."

- Anne Harris, Founder/Artistic Director, Lesbian Exchange for New Drama
