SYNOPSIS:

An improv-based site-specific performance -- part mock-liturgy, part musical comedy, part carnivalesque fund-raiser -- commemorating the mission, history, & alternative spirit of Cleveland Public Theatre.

The two-month-long zero-budget performance was created to raise public awareness of the need to buy CPT's performance space, which was in imminent danger of losing its lease after 10 years of avant garde theatre.

(Yes, it worked: we saved the farm.)

CAST: 40+ artists & performers, including animal acts

PRODUCTION HISTORY: Cleveland Public Theatre, 1992.

"One hell of a weird, ribald and downright funny show...A Fellini-esque montage of theater, carnival, gospel revival and good old-fashioned begging..." - Scene
