- Information given out for Diabetic Glucometer testing, Colorectal test kit, Pap tests for older women, Mammograms, Breast and Cervical Cancer awareness, Pyramid plan for Healthy Weight, Food Guide Pyramid, Heart Health, Control your diabetes for Life, Recipes from the Pantry and other information as resources become available.
- Medical Attention
- They have received medical attention and continue under doctors care but have gone beyond the visits at home which are paid for by Medicare - Medicaid or other health providers. Some folks are not eligible for visits at home because they do not meet required guidelines.

- We work with other agencies - non profit groups to meet the needs of the individual, collaborating and pooling resources. Wheelchair ramps, minor home repairs, utility bills, Glucometer test strips.
- We would like to provide homes in the near future which will be safe, energy efficient, economical to operate so that the utility bills would be within their income range, giving them a sense of dignity and respect.
- Laptop Computer
- We provide continued education to the folks in their homes. They have medical conditions but have limited information at hand on what they can do to improve their conditions at home. We use both computer assisted programs and the internet to help teach in the home. Some questions they may have - medication, diet, and treatments the Dr. has ordered. We us a holistic approach after surgery and discharge from the hospital.
- We try to continue the connection the folks have with health care, not to be isolated back in the hollows of Eastern Kentucky.
- We observe the progress of their conditions in the home environment, working with family members to obtain knowledge, understanding the various conditions or misconceptions about what is happening to their loved one.
- Digital Camera
- We use the camera to record their physical improvements or continued decline of the persons condition. This can be shared with health providers by the family member.
- Transportation
- The car we use is a Honda Insight. The car has been averaging between 50 to 55 miles per gallon of gasoline. We average between 450 miles to 600 miles of driving per week. This car helps greatly to reduce the cost of driving all the miles needed to visit folks in all the different hollows.
