Men of Benedictine

Benedictine's students represent many different cultures and communities in the Greater Cleveland area. The school provides an accurate picture of Cleveland with a 25% minority enrollment. Benedictine currently has students from over 120 different elementary schools. The students hail from over 30 suburbs, coming from as far west as Avon Lake and as far east as Chardon and Mentor. The unique family environment at Benedictine exposes the students to new friends and lasting relationships. Such a diverse student population prepares a student for the social interaction he will experience in college, outside of his neighborhood and later in the workplace.

Catholic school students apply to their high school of choice during Catholic Schools Week January 8-12, 1996. Public school students can apply to Benedictine once they have received confirmation regarding their test scores. The Admissions Board then makes a decision based upon test scores, grades, attendance and conduct.

Students who score in the 90th percentile receive a 20% reduction in tuition, while students scoring in the 80th percentile earn a 10% reduction. Excellence in Education

Benedictine provides young men with an education that will prepare them for college and beyond. By offering only a college preparatory curriculum, Benedictine challenges students to enroll in more difficult courses. This year 99% of the graduating Class of 1995 is attending college.

Students at Benedictine benefit from the low student teacher ratio of 12:1. The average class size of 17 is also low. This creates excellent opportunities for classroom discussion and interaction between the teachers and students.

In addition to the regular courses, Benedictine offers Honors and Advanced Placement classes to those who excel in the following fields:
Because of the excellent curriculum, Benedictine students score significantly higher on the SAT and ACT college entrance exams every year.
